About Us

Beach Verdict started because we were tired of travel sites that make every beach sound like paradise. You've seen the type. Five stars, glowing review, then you show up and the water is murky, the sand is gravel, and there's nowhere to park.

We wanted something different. Honest reviews that actually tell you what a beach is like before you go. Not just the pretty photos, but the real stuff: Is the water clear? Is it packed with tourists? Can you actually get there without a 4x4? That's what this site does.

What this site is

A straightforward guide to beaches everywhere. Each listing covers how to get there, what to expect, and whether it's actually worth the trip. No fluff, no sponsored rankings. If a beach is overhyped, we say so. If it's genuinely great, you'll know exactly why.

We cover beaches across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Africa, Oceania, and North America. Famous beaches, quiet coves, family spots, surf breaks. All of them get the same honest treatment.

How we rate beaches

Our ratings are based on five factors: water clarity, scenery, crowd levels, accessibility, and facilities. Every beach is scored across all five, and the overall rating is an average. It's straightforward and transparent — no mysterious algorithms or paid placements. A 4.8 means we think it's exceptional. A 3.5 means it's solid but has trade-offs.

We also cross-reference with Google Reviews and local sources to make sure our assessments hold up. If something changes — a beach gets developed, access gets restricted — we update accordingly.

Who runs this

A small team of travellers and writers who spend way too much time at the beach and have opinions about it. We're not a travel agency. We don't book trips or sell packages. The site is independent and runs on the belief that the best travel information should be free and honest.
